Flapjacks¶
Ingredients
350 g rolled oats,
2 tbsp golden syrup,
150 g butter,
150 g caster sugar and additional flavourings such as coconut, mashed banana, apples, cinnamon, raisin.
Preparation
Preheat oven to 180ºC. Melt the butter in a pan with the sugar and syrup. Remove from the heat and add the oats. Mix well until they are coated with the syrup. Add the other ingredients, if desired. the bananas and apples in particular give a moist texture. Put in a baking tray, press well and bake for 30 minutes.
