Apple and cinnamon ice creamΒΆ

Serves 6-8

Ingredients

  • 700 g apples,

  • 170 g brown sugar,

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon,

  • 850 mL single cream,

  • 3 tbsp calvados (whisky or cognac works too).

Preparation

Peel the apples and slice them. Cook them slowly in a saucepan with 60 mL water, the sugar and the cinnamon. Then blend in a food processor. Whip the cream to make chantilly and add to the apple sauce. Add the alcohol and stir. Pour the cream into an ice-cream maker or in a metal dish and freeze.
